For now, all I can say is that babies change so fast! Gavin is so much fun. Especially lately - he's been smiling a ton and making happy noises and is trying hard to laugh. It's fun to feel like he recognizes us and is happy when we're around.
A picture review of our summer...
One Week - Newborn Perfection. I almost can't remember how little he was.
Two Weeks - I miss those snuggly daily naps. Now I'm trying to get him on a better sleep schedule, which doesn't always involve me holding him. (Although I still do sometimes just because I can't help it.)
Three Weeks - I LOVE this picture. First book, first church outing. Too cute.
Four Weeks - More aware. He loves his swing and looking at himself in the mirror. He probably doesn't know who that is staring back at him, but it's fun to watch.
Five Weeks - Just naked. I would have posted a naked bum - my favorite - but didn't want to offend anyone.
Six Weeks - My favorite outfit. Nothing cuter than tank tops on these chubby arms!
Seven Weeks - Nice combover! How can this picture not make you laugh out loud?
Eight Weeks - Loves to smile. It just melts my heart. Cheesy, but true.

I love when they start smiling. I'm sorry I missed seeing you when you were in AZ. Next time for sure, he's a doll!
He is so handsome. Kids just get more fun as they grow. You do miss different things about different stages, but they always seem to make you laugh, and you will never regret being someones "mommy"
He is super cute! I especially love weeks 4 and 7...what big eyes!
Oh, precious. I love him, and I've never even met him! Let's betroth our babies, mkay?
I'm seriously loving watching Kennedy come to life and be a "real baby" instead of a newborn, but I mourn her babyhood every day that flies by. I hear ya.
So....how do you feel about going to work? I'm waiting for that post!
He is chunking up so adorably! And so wide-eyed and attentive! Isn't it amazing how they change so much so fast. Slow down, babies! (I'm including mine in that exclamation)
Nat- you and your baby look great. (Am I talking about Brian or Gavin?) I AM going to call you. I have to wait until I have enough minutes! I am so sorry! The whoas of being a student. Your blog looks SO good. I am getting my membranes stripped today, so we'll see if that gets any action started. I'll call you!!
I'm so sad I haven't seen cute little Gavin yet. I love the pictures. He is a mini Brian...what a sweetie!!
