Something in the Air

Today was the worst church day ever, which is weird, because our best church day ever was just last week. Our kids couldn't stop moving or crying. All three rows ahead of us had meltdowns as well. Kids who are usually happy had tear-stained faces. Moms who are usually put together looked a little frazzled today. You could feel it in Primary.

McKay cried more tonight than he has in months. From 4:00-7:00pm Brian and I were trying to keep it together. We finally went on a walk at 6:00 - in the rain, no less - just to get us a few minutes closer to the blessed bedtime. Some days are just like that...survival. Once we got McKay down I totally felt like we deserved a medal.

It's time for the weather to warm up and let these kids out.

A-freakin-men. It was a TOUGH Sunday in our ward too. All the crying and yelling. And the kids were pretty badly behaved too!

I told Sean tonight, "The MINUTE this rain lets up we are taking these kids to a big field with a bagful of tennis balls and playing fetch until they fall asleep midrun. No lie, that it what we will do. And it will be EXACTLY what they need."

Wow - I must have been in la-la land because I didn't hear a thing! Wait - I take that back. I heard a baby cry once at the start of the meeting. Hopefully next week will be better for you!
