First Day of School

Gavin on the first day of school. He loves his new animal pajamas. When he first saw the lion on his sleeve, he could help but stare and do his roaring.
This is the first day since I was four-years-old that I haven't had some school obligation. We woke up and watched the kids walking to our local school from our front window. What will I do with myself?
I'm sure we'll think of something.

CONGRATS Natalie! I didn't realize that you'd quit working but I'm thrilled for you -

I LOVE that home time with my babies. Especially now when I have so little time for my youngest while her older siblings are stealing all my time. I love it when school starts and that day empties out just for me and her. It's the best.

I'll need to buy him some fishy jammies. That way he can practice his fish noise. :)

Oh, I'm sure you'll figure something out. And I'm sure I'll still have to call you on your days off. :)

Love the bed hair!

I am SURE you'll think of plenty of things to do while you have more time at home with Gavin.

Are you not working at the District anymore? It's been 4 years (WOW!) since I taught and I still feel the urge to stock up on all the school supplies when they go on sale and occasionally I still have the back to school teacher nightmares :) You will miss seeing your adult friends on a regular basis, but will LOVE getting more time with your adorable Gavin :)

ps - JeVonne just had a baby girl today! her first! I think it's time we all got together again :)

I am working part time at the district. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday morning. So less than last year...

I'm so glad you get even less work than last year. What a great schedule! I got your message and I'm ready to hang out, too. What's your schedule like this coming week? I'd love for you to come out and see our place if you want. I can do any day but Monday. Let's plan it!

Wait, are you home-home this year? I thought you were going part time. I must have missed something in all my own craziness.

Oh, wait just read the comments. Still sounds like a pretty darn good plan. :)

Don't worry--staying at home is a school in itself. And the best school I have been in so far!
