How do we feel about parking little babies in front of Baby Einstein? I mean really, is he getting smarter? Just being entertained? Or giving me a break from holding his 20 pounds? Please tell me if I'm going to ruin my kid. Otherwise, I'm just going to make him comfortable.

My younger sister swears by Baby Einstein for her special-needs daughter and none of her doctors have said otherwise. Besides, since Gavin is already GT, no worries. :)
I love Baby Einstein. I don't agree with parking your kid in front of the TV all day, but heck, everyone needs a moment and Baby Einstein seems to entertain.
Oh man, that is a hoot--the pick of him--the back of his head. Boy, did we laugh out loud. You are too funny Natalie.
I am PRO Baby Einstein. Promotes early language development and gives you 20 minutes to shower, brush teeth...read some Mitch Albom...(hahahaha!). Yes, you are just fine. Look at Little natalie, reading at 5, before entering K-garten. I attribute that to READING all the time and Baby Einstein. And heck, MomMom Coldren loved them too.

Happy mommy=happy baby. It worked for my four. RaeAnn
How about all of the above!! Comfiness, entertainment, mom's peace of mind is all worth a little time in front of the TV... just not too much! He looks so content... awww.
I love that picture of him in his boppy. He looks like he's about 18 years old watching a football game. So cute!
Gavin really fills out that boppy! Love baby einstein!
Hey, is today your birthday? I can't remember the exact day but whenever it is Happy Birthday, hope it's a great one!
Love ya!
Just wait until your jump-started little smarty starts turning on the TV and picking out DVDs for himself. Because that's where we are. I let my kids watch BE when they were babies because it let them focus on something that wasn't me! They liked the music and I got a shower. Win-win!
That sounds like my kind of parenting! We all know we learned a lot from T.V.,seasame street, reading rainbow, captian kangaroo, peewee's playhouse...(maybe not so much peewee) but why take that same opportunity away from your kids!
NAT!!! Okay, so I'm totally blog-stalking, but I just saw your name on Krista's blog and had to see if it was really you!!! I am so excited to have found you - not that you were lost - but I think about you all the time and had no idea how to track you down! :)
Anyway...enough gushing, but I just wanted to say hi and say that your baby is so amazingly cute! And I love the Baby Einstein pics...nothing wrong with that!
Hope all is well.
