September 8

It’s been awhile. Things are moving right along. Work is going really well for me. I appreciate the flexibility of my new job and love not taking things home every day. That was the whole point of quitting teaching – and it is well worth it. This job is a whole new world and I feel like I am learning a new profession. I am learning to be a better listener and really want to help these new teachers. I feel for these people - it's hard to be brand new! It’s a different busy than I’m used to, but I really am enjoying it and love the people I work with. I look forward to Thursdays and Friday afternoons where I get to spend time with my little boy. It’s a nice break during the week.

Gavin turned 3 months old on Friday. I (again!) can’t believe how fast the time goes. He is so alert and smiley and I just can't get enough of him. He is making happy noises and is trying to copy our sounds and faces and mostly just looks at us with big, interested eyes. Besides all that, he's already learned to read.

Actually, it's quite cute. He really does look at the pictures and his bobble head just takes him back and forth between the pages.

Over labor day we went to St. George with Brian's fam. Gavin caught some sun. I wasn't able to lay by the pool and read my book like I planned, but I guess those are the sacrifices you make when you've got a kid.

Some of the Robinson cousins

And one last picture...Lyns - did you give us these pajamas? I can't remember. We think he looks like a pirate...or the baby off of Labyrinth. Just cute, dangit.

"You remind me of the babe. What babe? The babe with the Power!" I always knew you were cool, but anybody who has watched Labrynth with David Bowie and the spandex is cool in my book! Gavin is definatly wearing Labrynth PJs :)

Awww...he is just so darn cute! He is getting so big so fast! And it's no surprise that he is already reading...he is the child of a teacher!! =) Glad you are enjoying your new job!

He is so adorable! I might need to come over and have another hold. I'm also glad the new job is treating you well. It sounds perfect for what you need right now. Let's get together soon.

What a smart baby! Look - he's even pointing...he'll be one to one matching in no time! It was so good to see you. We decided to stay in St. George this weekend for my Mom's birthday. We'll think of another time to come visit. Love you!!

I don't think I gave him those jammies. They are cute though! Carson and Gavin should get together...they could hunt "mean pirates" as Carson likes to say. Looking at these pictures makes me want you to move to Arizona even more!! Tell Brian I said PRETTY PLEASE! I am his favorite sister-in-law. :)

Glad everything is going so good, you sound happy, and Gavin looks happy, aren't babies the best?

He is cuter every time you post! And vacations are never the same, but with so many fun photo ops, it must be worth the work! Speaking of...we'll be in Utah next week (football games and grandmas) so if there is a time you aren't busy, let me know.

Hey There!
I know you don't know me too well, (Andrea McConahay, used to be in your ward) but I found your blog on Aleah's and just had to post.

Your baby is so stinkin' cute!! A mom can never hear that too many times right?

Have a great day! :-)

Oh.. I want to squeeze him. He is looking so dang cute! I hope you have your DRA kit ready to start testing him. It looks like he has things figured out already. Being a MOM is WAY better than being a teacher, huh?

I miss seeing your cute smiling face everyday at Manila! By the way Gavin is changing and getting cuter by the minute. I have been a horrible blogger. My excuse is school. Not a great one but anyway I updated it last night. Check it out. I will try to comment more so we can stay in touch!
