Graduation Extravaganza

We've been graduating all weekend. LOTS of driving! Brian humored me in going to both - he never walked the first time. I told him it was all about the pictures. I thought they would make for a good scrapbook page! There is no shortage of pictures here!

On Friday, my parents came up and drive Brian and I up to Logan for his graduation. He graduated from Utah State as a Master of Science in Psychology.

The luncheon - this was a small group of people who went through the School Counseling program. It was very nice and personal and Brian even got up and said a few things.

The graduate!

Saturday we headed to Cedar City for my Southern Utah graduation. Mine was a Master of Education. We drove down with Brian's parents and met my parents down there.

My friend Melanie drove from St. George to visit just for a minute. It was so fun to have her there!

Cindy Winkel, Marla Long, and I all completed the program together. Love Manila-ites!

Overall, it was a fun weekend. Although it took a lot of time to drive from the north end of Utah to the south, we figured the two of us wouldn't graduate a day apart again - so it was worth it. In fact, I'm okay if I never graduate again. I'm officially retiring. :) As for Brian...well, we'll see. He may need to rest for a few years. And I'm okay with whatever he choses for his own future. It was great to get it done before kids and other stuff! Hooray for education!

Congrats on such a big accomplishment! I was actually down at graduation at SUU on Saturday to see my sister-in-law graduate from Accounting. How great for you though! And you were able to finish before you had kids, good for you!

Congrats to both of you. I tried to talk Tommy into walking when he graduated but I didn't have much luck. He said when he graduates from Dental school he will walk. I loved it. There is something about that accomplishment that I think everyone needs to experience at least once!!

Yeah for you! I love seeing women in caps and gowns, (it makes me very jealous, though). Coming from a family full of educators, all parents should appreciate what it takes to be a teacher. Congratulations and good luck with what you decide to do from here on out.
